As a woman gets near to menopause, the ovaries start producing less estrogen. This transitional phase is known as perimenopause or the menopausal transition. This is most common for women who are in their 40s. In some rare cases, it can be seen in women in their 30s too. During this time, the woman goes through many hormonal fluctuations. And because of these fluctuations, you may have to experience different symptoms. Some of the most common symptoms of upper east side perimenopause are mentioned below. Have a look. 

  • First, if you feel that your menstrual cycle is going through some changes, the perimenopause period may have begun. Your period may be irregular, heavier, or lighter. Or maybe the periods have become shorter or longer. Such changes in your menstrual cycle can be signs of perimenopause. 
  • Secondly, suddenly, you start feeling hot, and you are all sweating and flushing. Such hot flashes are signs of perimenopause. Also, these symptoms are mostly seen at night times. 
  • Thirdly, of late, you may be noticing some changes in your sleep pattern. You may not be having a sound sleep and there are sleep disturbances. These are considered to be very common synonyms of perimenopause. 
  • Fourth, you are often stuck with feelings of depression or sadness. Also, you are getting irritated too often. You may be feeling anxious also. Such mood swings step very common during perimenopause. 
  • Fifth, as already mentioned above, the levels of estrogen reduce at this time, women usually go through vaginal dryness. This may even lead to some kind of pain or discomfort during the time of sexual intercourse.
  • Sixth, as you are going through mood swings, and at the same time, you fail to have sound sleep, you may experience fatigue during perimenopause. Also, low energy levels are common.
