The West Baton Rouge Section of Parks and Recreation presents experienced entertainments and artwork and science classes in four spots during the parish. All of the things to do are open to the public and are correct for youth ages 5 to 11 decades, households, and adults. The entertainments element ballet and hip hop dance, puppetry, theater, and storytelling. The artwork and science explorations give contributors fingers-on working experience with unique art media whilst studying about renowned artists and their will work. Art teacher, Maria Bridevaux, presents the artwork and science explorations.

Kabuki Dancers are accomplishing artists from Louisiana’s Acadiana location. By dance, spoken phrase, poetry and the drums, find out what it usually means to Drop the B.E.A.T. (Bullying Finishes Following Chatting) with the Kabuki Dancers.

June 30 (Thursday) Hobey Ford’s Animalia
Hobey Ford is just one of our best puppeteers. He is a two-timed winner of puppetry’s maximum honor, the UNIMA Quotation of Excellence and is the receiver of three Jim Henson Foundation grants. It is enjoyable to have him complete in West Baton Rouge.
Hobey Ford’s Animalia is a spellbinding, magical, up shut exploration of the animal earth, from the metamorphosis of a butterfly and a tadpole, to the flight of a bald eagle and the playful romp of otters. The display is performed to audio as Hobey breaks out of the classic puppet theater booth, turning the entire region in entrance of the audience into his performance stage.
