The cosmos is made up of several things that exist in many different forms. Its constituents can be classified into three different categories based on their general attributes. These categories are the abstract, the material and the real. The things categorized under the real have the attribute of change. Things that come under the material have the attribute of inertia. While the attribute of entities that belongs to the abstract is incorporeality. Entities that fall into the category of the abstract are spirit, soul, air, mind, consciousness, reason and ideas. Those that appear under the material are fossils, water, mountain, stone, rocks, metals. The real consist of things such as cosmic bodies, plants, animals, man, oceans, trees, clouds. The cosmos is constitutive of all these things. The abstract, the material and the real represent the categories of things in objective existence.
The abstract, the material and the real constitutes a level in the structure of the universe. This level is the universal. The universal is the way in which all things could be classified on the basis of their general attributes. The universals i.e. the abstract, the material and the real, derives from the particular which is another level in the structure of the universe. The particular is the conglomeration of all things in the world of existence. The particular consists of spirit, soul, cosmic bodies, water, trees etc. The particular also forms the basis of the structure of the cosmos.
The totality of all things which have been classified into the abstract, the material and the real is the whole. The cosmos is the whole in which the abstract, the material and the real become one. The cosmos that has been referred to as one and conceived as a whole is singular. The singular is a level in the structure of the cosmos. In the order of the singular, the universal and the particular, we have the different levels of the structure of the cosmos. These concepts produce the simple description of the cosmos as a single body constituted into three different categories of several particular things.
Objects such as cosmic bodies, animals, plants and man, which the universe is mainly composed of came into being from the combination of things from the abstract universe and the material universe. The abstract universe and the material universe were the two separated ends that existed before the universe. From the abstract universe, we had the entities that caused objects of the universe to come into existence. While the material universe is the sphere where all the objects of the universe derived the matter that made them corporeal. The universe came into existence when the abstract universe and the material universe fused into one.
The formation of cosmic bodies, plants, animals and man represent the various stages in the course of the development of the universe. The stages of development are different and higher with the appearance of additional abstracts that are absorbed by the objects in the course of evolution. The more abstracts that appear causing the evolution of the objects, the higher the stage of development of the universe. In the distribution of the abstracts among the objects, the sun and other stars, earth and all planets, moon and the various satellite bodies have spirit; plants have spirit, soul and air; animals have spirit, soul, air, mind and consciousness; man has spirit, soul, air, mind, consciousness, reason and ideas.
Being the object that evolved with the last abstracts, man became the highest stage of development of the universe. Man absorbed more of the entities that caused the evolution and development of the universe than any of the objects. Those abstracts made the difference between man and the rest of the objects. The abstracts enabled man overcome his limitations when man traversed the seas with ships, the skies with aeroplanes and space with rockets.
Man is the final end of the universe. He exists for himself alone. He is not responsible to any object but every other object functions in one way or the other so that he may exist. Everything that is required for him to exist comes from all other things. They all appear to exist for his own sake. Everything in the cosmos has a general direction that tends towards him.
