The Aspen Art Museum will host a team exhibition this summertime of modern video clip installations this summertime titled “Mountain/Time.”
On see May possibly 27 through Sept. 11, it will operate concurrently with Gaetano Pesce’s “My Pricey Mountains,” which will sheath the exterior of the museum.
The operates in “Mountain/Time” will intention to examine histories and geographies of the mountains and their ecological units in Aspen, the Rocky Mountains and past, in accordance to a museum announcement.
It provides jointly popular video artists which includes Kahlil Joseph, Arthur Jafa, Doug Aitken, Korakrit Arunanondchai, Anicka Yi, Ian Cheng, Kandis Williams, Tourmaline, Maia Ruth Lee, Clarissa Tossin, Mark Leckey, and Alan Michelson.
“The Aspen Art Museum is delighted to host these kinds of a pertinent and thought-provoking exhibition,” museum director Nicola Lees explained in an announcement. “Our exclusive geography evokes a contemplation of area and time from all who dwell in our mountain landscape. Each individual artist in this set up expands on that profound perception of place in means that people will undoubtedly carry with them prolonged following they leave our doorways.”
The exhibition will be curated by Chrissie Iles with Anisa Jackson and Simone Krug, with functions on personal loan from the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Rosenkranz Selection.
