In this week’s On The Spot, the Brazilian illustrator tells us extra about his feline inspirations, his beloved cat Pudim, and his mission to seize the mysterious and magical cat rituals. 

Where do you stay and what does your workspace look like?

I dwell in the south of Brazil, in a put of exuberant character which is surrounded by wonderful beaches. My workspace mainly is composed of my computer system and graphics tablet and is a section of the household in which I devote long hrs imagining and developing my illustrations.

What has your journey to turn into an artist seemed like so far?

I experienced been craving a taste for artwork for a very long time. I beloved drawing ever since I was a child and throughout the decades, I tried to increase my abilities and establish new approaches. Today, I’m a complete-time illustrator, working with children’s e book authors and publishers from several elements of the environment.

How did you establish your existing art design?

Above the a long time, I have developed my individual inventive identity as a result of screening diverse approaches and observing other artists. 

As for the cat artworks, I only started doing the job on them about a year ago. Nonetheless, this tale commenced much previously, far more precisely in 2019, when we adopted our pet kitten Pudim. What does your inventive course of action appear like?

What are your major inspirations?

They primarily come from superior family moments with our cat. It would be nice to share a cup with Adolfo Serra, I enjoy the way he illustrates!

What are your other passions?

When I’m not drawing, I’m a relatives person. I commit time with my youngsters Caroline and Lucas, and my pricey wife Alessandra. They are my enthusiasm. 

What are your strategies for the potential?

I want to keep undertaking the two things I adore the most – performing on my illustrations and paying high quality time with my family members!
